Predators

There may have once been a line of humanoid predators on the frontier, similar to the ungulate tribes, but that would have been long, long ago. Wolves, bears, coyotes, cougars, and other predators can vary greatly in size but they are not bipedal, do not make tools, and do not have language. What can sometimes be read as intelligence is more likely a highly developed animal instinct.

I am always comforted by the howls. Day needs Night. Predator needs Prey.
